VISAS

Important :

New biometric visas will soon be required to enter the Schengen area. Numerical ID photos and fingerprints will be introduced.

As a result, applicants will have to come in person to the Consulate to obtain their visa. The application process will thus be modified and applicants will have to book online an appointment in order to proceed, in person, with the required documents.

The new procedure will be implemented in two phases:

1. Effective Sept. 18th, 2006 : Residents of Vancouver and Greater Vancouver must follow the new procedure

2. Effective Oct. 18th, 2006 : The new procedure will be extended to all residents of BC, Alberta, Yukon and the North West Territories

Between Sept. 18th and Oct. 18 th residents of Alberta, Yukon, the North West Territories and people residing in outside Vancouver and Greater Vancouver continue to apply by mail.
