Documents required |
A letter from the applying spouse asking for the validation of
the divorce
Complete photocopy of the divorce judgement (indicating identities
and address of the spouses at the moment of the divorce and including
motives for the decision and clauses such as custody of the children,
sharing of the joint estate, alimony etc...) and its translation
by an expert-translator (send the original of this translation).
Divorce certificate (testifying that it's a final judgement and
that the non-applying spouse knows of the decision) and its translation
(send the original of this translation).
Complete photocopy of the two spouses' birth certificate
Complete photocopy of the French marriage certificate
Documents (originals) sent for the registration will be kept by
the Consulate.
